Visit To Culture Capital Of Europe In Graz - Austria

graz-austriaGraz city is located in Europe and called as Culture Capital of Europe in 2003. This Beautiful and classic city is the second largest city in Austria and become the capital of Steyrmark province. Geographically, Austria borders directly with Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, Czech Republic and Hungary that make this country as cultural blend western and eastern Europe and make it interesting to visit by foreign tourists.

Graz can be reach from other cities with fast and easy access via air and land transportation such as that only three hour from Vienna, and four hours from Venice (Italy) by train or four-wheeled vehicles. Entering the city of Graz from west to south toward the city center, on the right and left of the road can be found the beautiful of mountains panoramic and hills that planted wine (vineyard) that has good quality in the world.

Around along vineyard with golden yellow leaves and began ripe fruit while to breathe the fresh mountain air, will feel the sense of touch and a cool fusion of nature and peace, away from the hustle bustle of the city and air pollution. The vineyard is also become tourist destination in summer.

Toward the city center, can be found majestic building that become symbol of the city called Graz Town Hall which has  wide field area that located exactly in front of it. This building was built in 16-century and later renovated by famous architect Graz, Wielemans and Reuter in the 19th century.
Until now, the building still use as Graz government office.In the middle of wide area in front of Town Hall, called Hauptplatz seen large man standing monument which is statue of Styrian Prince that is Archduke Johann was living in 17 century.

In the past, Hauptplatz as traditional market that sells farms products, such as milk, meat, fruits, cheese, and oil from the seeds of pumpkin. Until now, Hauptlatz still serve as the place of the night market, carnival, arts and entertainment platform that is still sought by residents of this city, especially in summer.

Goldene Pastete is one of the oldest buildings in Graz with attractive architect in corner of the building’s heyday era Reinassance and located on the right side of the Sporgasse road .Until now, this building is still kept by Graz government retaining the authenticity of the color red brick walls and window ornaments with white and green traditional nuances.
