Many tourist from foreign and local visit religious tourism object in India, perhaps is Lumbini, birthplace of the Gautama Buddha. For the Buddhist, Lumbini is one of the places that should not be passed during visit to India.Why they should do it? because according to the history, Gautama Buddha was born in family’s kingdom in the year 556 BC in Lumbini, this city is borders between India and Nepal.Perhaps,the birth of the Gautama Buddha followed by the emergence of signs, such as grow of the Bodhi tree. By King Ashoka, the great Buddhist king at that time, established a stupa and pillars to remember the Gautama Buddha. stupa was built after King Ashoka visited the place of the Buddha was born two centuries later. Although now the stupa destroyed, but still many tourist visit this place to remember Gautama Buddha .

Other places that are interesting is Bodhgaya. Perhaps, in this place Gautama Buddha reach his perfect knowledge after he be impresoned under a Bodhi tree at the age of 29 years. In this city there is also Mahabodhi Temple was built in 3rd century by King Ashoka. but there are some people said this place is built between 5-to 7 century ago.

Next to Samath, Gangga River valley in India, where the Buddhist faith and teach Budhaan aspects . pilgrimage Places which many visited by many tourist is Shravasti. In this city, Gautama Buddha do many great miracles.other important cities is Sankashaya. According to the Buddhist belief, the Buddha Gautama is revealed from heaven Tushita. The city is the only place of pilgrimage of the Buddhist which have not one temple and monestery.

Nalanda is also important place of pilgrimage. Not because it is blessed with the presence Gautama Buddha, but because in this place there is famous monastery university, Rajgir also has the distinctive charm power, the Buddha had to come and teach.

Important events of the coming of Buddhism to Rajgir is when the Buddha settle his two disciples, Sariputra and Maudgalyayana. perhaps, Sariputra  was extraordinary intellectual. While Maudgalyayana has power to perform miracles. Kushinagar is also become center of attention tourism object for visitor, especially the Buddhist tourists who visit to India. In this place Gautama Buddha reached the omniscient samadi.
