coonoorCoonoor is the most popular hill station of the Nilgiri hills at Tamil Nadu. Many tourist attract visit to Coonoor to admire for it’s lush green Nilgiri hills, valleys, waterfalls and bird watching, Coonoor is full with beautiful and scarce birds including black woodpecker, barbets, Malabar trogon parakeets, mynas, Malabar gray hornbill, hawk eagle, and serpent eagle. The Sim’s Park is most attractive part to visit in Coonoor. The Park has more plant species (magnolia, camellia, tree ferns, and tea gardens).

We can find many incredible view when drive through and explore around Coonoor such as peaks, valleys, and waterfalls that fun to be explored. To get around, you can rent or hire a taxi at the taxi stand in Bedford (Upper Coonoor) or negotiate a number of taxi agencies to get deals. A car is certainly a convenience but the best way is on foot it out as distances are not daunting. Much of the Nilgiris was grasslands, on sheer cliffs alternating with native shola, which the British phased out with eucalyptus, pine and acacia. Enjoying spectacular scenery by see everywhere of artificial forests that almost naturalized of course  the tea plantations.
