Malta is a small island located in the Mediterranean sea just off the coast of Italy. Malta is an ex-British colony so English is spoken extensively alongside the native language of Malti. So who should visit Malta and why?
Owing to it’s location Malta is hot and dry with very little wildlife to speak of. Only a tiny number of birds and mammals can be found here though there are considerably more insects and reptiles. This in combination with the Maltese passion for hunting the few birds that are present means that Malta is not an ideal location for the animal fanatic.
Sadly Malta also has very few sandy beaches, and the few that are there are typically packed to bursting point making them rather unpleasant. While the water is warm and a stunning blue making for fantastic swimming and snorkeling the beaches lack that welcoming look. Read more
