nyang-nyang Surfing is an interesting sport. We will get something that so interesting while surfing. Take waves sensation and also beauty scenery in beach. White sand, big waves that roll, warm sun … ohw… so exciting! Many visitor called this place as “Heaven of surfing lovers”.
But, where we can find good place for surfing? Not wrong…. choose Nyang-Nyang Island. Where this place? This place is in Indonesia, especially in Mentawai Island. Mentawai Less than 8 hours and 150 km off the west coast of Padang West Sumatra province. To go this island can be reached by ferry boat and 45 minute by flight. Nyang-Nyang Island is one of islands in the Kecamatan Siberut Selatan. From Muara Siberut, the capital district, travel to the island of Nyang-Nyang with small boat takes more than an hour while the big boat to spend time one-half to two hours. Travel with a large boat to take in more normal circumstances because the water does not attach too.
Visitors who come to this island often spend their time in one week. They stay in local citizen houses of a certain rate cheaper if compare to stay in a resort that was built on the island. If people stay in local citizen house that made from wood with specific form, of course, interaction with the native population become additional travel effect for visitor.

In addition to surfing or around the walk or use the boat, visitors can see the direct day-to-day life of local residents, such as search and making sago activity as a staple food or catch fish in the sea.

Nyang-Nyang Island usually crowded in the waves. Beside this island are crowded by tourists and surfing lover, the island is also filled with people from other islands to selling various souvenirs such as T-shirts or clothes, tapeworm, and carvings of Mentawai typical in form people who are shaped paddle canoe.

The exotic of Nyang-Nyang Island indeed impressive. Coconut tree with breezy wind in background of azure sky and waves become make Nyang-Nyang island always be remembered. So, if you’re surfing lovers let’s try to surfing in Nyang-Nyang beach, enjoy the exotic of beach and get waves sensation!
