Love Disney World Parades? Here Are 5 Ways to Make Them Even More Magical
May 17, 2010
Ready to experience the thrill of a Disney parade? Of course you are! No other live entertainment experience can provide the magic of a Disney parade. There are so many opportunities to dance, play and sing along. In order to have the best possible experience, take a look at these five quick tips to help you have a magical time.
1. Don’t Be Late - While the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland is always running late, you shouldn’t be if you want a truly great spot to view the parade. During peak times, you may need to find a spot about an hour and a half before the parade begins. Getting a great viewing location can make all the difference when attending a Disney parade.
2. Locate the Best View - Parade routes differ so you’ll need to see your park map in order to make sure you can find the best spot. If the Disney parade your attending has “show stops” (times when the parade stops its motion in order to put on a mini-show), you’ll want to make sure your viewing location is in one of those spots.
3. Be Prepared for Anything - Be sure to bring a blanket during the winter season or sunscreen and a fan during the summer. You might be waiting for over an hour in the heat or cold for the Disney parade to start. Showing up ready for Mother Nature can go a long way towards securing a magical time.
4. Stay Late - Attend the second showing of the same parade if Disney is running it twice on the day you visit. The second running always has less people in attendance, and you’ll be able to get a much better viewing location without showing up as early.
5. Go Crazy! - You’re on vacation…act like it! Disney parades often provide a wonderful opportunity to join in the fun. You might even find yourself a part of the parade. Cut loose, dance, sing, and go crazy! Your involvement will make the parade even more amazing!
Disney parades are wonderful, and you can make them magical. Follow the simple tips above and you will have a fantastic time on your next Disney vacation.
