Doing some vacations with exporer from places that we visited is maybe a nice things that we can doing, beside that this gonna make us have a lot of informations about the places. Now I want give you some informations, and maybe this could be one of the choices in your live. Explorer Prince Rupert City, British Columbia. Prince Rupert is a port city in the province of British Columbia, Canada. It is the land, water, and water transportation hub of British Columbia’s North Coast, and home to some 12.815 people (Statistics Canada, 2006). Located on the Kaien Island (approximately 770 km (480 miles) north of Vancouver), north of the mouth of Skeena River, and connected by a short bridge to the mainland. The city is located along the island’s Northwestern shore, fronting on Prince Rupert Harbor. At the western terminus of the Trans-Canada Highway 16 (the Yellowhead Highway), Prince Rupert is approximately 146 km (91 mi) west of Terrace, and 715 km (444 mi) west of Prince George.
Why this place are right to explorer because the port is hiding from the deepest ice-free natural harbor in North America. Situated at 54 ° North, the Harbor is the Northwestern most port in North America linked to the continent’s railway network. Located on the Great Circle Route between eastern Asia and western North America, the port is the first inbound and last outbound port of call for cargo ships.
Actually Prince Rupert is very pedestrian-friendly town, and as one of the largest cities in the world and the leading port. Although this small town grow to a metropolitan city, but this will have on the Export billion coal. Prince Rupert is a friendly small city with big city amenities, shops and fine restaurants, art center, swimming pool, golf course, racquet courts, and the outstanding center of the civil arena and a gymnasium. The salt water fishing here is among the world’s finest. Prawning and crabbing are also popular.
If you visit this place will have some interesting things that you can enjoy here, for example:
* Cow Harbor bay & Prince Rupert, located 10 minutes from the city center, in this place you can enjoy fresh seafood or quaff an ale at the Harborside sip tea, and this certainly is fun.
* Sea Fest, usually this is a culture which is often held in June in order to celebrate the end of 5 weeks rain and semi-darkness, here you will take comfort because there is a 4 day parades, dances, bathtub, race, flyovers, competitions and general fun and nonbsense .
* Archeology Harbor Tour
Take a tour and “lead time” and see the 10,000 year archaeological sites along the coast. Some of the villages date back 5000 years or more.
* Butze Rapids Butze Rapids
3km beyond Oliver Lake Park, these Rapids reverse the TIDES. 3km outside Oliver Lake Park, is back with the flow Rapids. The water foams confused, especially on the falling TIDES. A Fascinating outing!
* Diana Lake Provincial Park
15 miles east on Highway 16, this park is circled by mountains and has an excellent swimming beach, picnic tables and outstanding fishing.
* Firehall Museum

* Historic Museum of Northern BC
The museum documents the area’s Fascinating history of the complex culture of the Tsimshian people and their first contact with the fur traders and the Arrival of the missionaries, industrialization, and finally, the Establishment of the cities. Behind the museum is a carving shed where some of the region’s most talented artists on their work masterpieces.Tel: 250-624-3207.
* Khutzeymateen / K’tzin-a-diin Grizzly Sanctuary
This is the only area in Canada set aside to protect these massive silver-tipped bears.The park offers one group escorted daily to view them. You need to register with BC Parks.
* Oliver Lake
Oliver Lake, just outside Prince Rupert, is home to the exotic Bonsai trees reported to be over 125 years old. They have been bent and twisted into a gnarled shape of the soil and the seasons.
* Kwinitsa Railway Station Museum
One of the last remaining Grand Trunk Pacific Railway Stations, it has been restored and made into a railway museum. Tel: 250-627-1915 or 250-627-3207.
* North Pacific factory museum
Built in 1889, this is the oldest Surviving Cannery on the coast. Authentic glimpse of pioneer coastal lifestyle. Rope making and mending demonstrated. Exhibits include an old blacksmiths shop, a model railway and early can machenery making. Other Cannery building include a store, office and workers quarters. Tel: 250-628-3538.
