merlion_2What are you doing when traveling to Singapore? may be shopping? May be some people assume shopping is only spend our money. Especially in monetary crisis like now. let’s save our money and thrifty. Any other way to spend your holiday in Singapore instead shopping. What it is? of course visited Singapore Science Park and get charm for it. In this area, you can enjoy all facilities are there and it can actually can add your knowledge. And you can story the charm of Singapore Science Park to your friends when you come bask to your country, okay!
After you arrive at Singapore aiport, you can continue your trip to  Singapore Science Park (SSP) with  famous with Merlion, the lion head with fish body on the top of the waves.

Initially, Merlion was designed as symbol of Singapore Tourism Board in 1964. However, the symbol soon become the icon of Singapore to the world.

Initially Merlion is in Singapore Science Park at Esplanade Bridge. The Merlion and it son, Cub, always be popular attraction for tourists. Installation ceremony took place on 15 September 1972, inaugurated by PM (Prime Minister) Singapore at that time, Lee Kuan Yew.

Now, Merlion occupied new houses in addition to One Fullerton, is only 120 meters from first location. Sculptures at 8.6 meters and weight of 70 tons is created by Singapore craftsmen, deceased Lim Nang Seng.

The second Merlion statue that has smaller-sized with two-meter high and three tons of weight also made by Lim Nang Seng. The body made by cement, the skin from porcelain , and eyes from small tea cup red.

If go to Singapore and you do not have opportunity to photo on  Merlion background , I feel your trip is less exciting. Singapore Science Park area has become the habit to take holiday photo by many visitor, both local and foreign.

opponent from SSP, you can see Marina Bay Sands Casino which is now being built and will operate in 2009. This area will also be part of Marina Bay Sands, an integrated area and casino company that built by U.S., Las Vegas Sands Corp..
